Montgomery linebacker picks Crimson Tide

MONTGOMERY -- Carver-Montgomery linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton announced today he has committed to Alabama.

Hamilton is listed as a 6-foot-0, 241-pound outside linebacker and is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals also ranks Hamilton as the No. 11 outside linebacker nationally.

Hamilton made his announcement in the Carver auditorium and had hats for Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee in front of him. He is the fourth public commitment for the Crimson Tide for the Class of 2014.

“It was just the program,” Hamilton told “It’s a great program. Coach (Nick) Saban, he’s a great coach. They’re known for winning championships. You know they’re going to be in a BCS bowl every year. I just love Alabama.”
