James Statesman Baggett
Jacksonville - Funeral service for James Statesman Baggett, 59, was held Monday, September 17, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Jacksonville Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Joey Calvert and the Rev. Gary Watts officiating. Burial followed in Jacksonville City Cemetery with K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center directing services. The family received friends at the church for one hour prior to services.

Mr. Baggett died Saturday, September 15, 2012, at his home.He is survived by his wife, Diane Baggett, of Jacksonville; four sisters, Evelyn Logan, of Jacksonville, Debbie, Kathy and Pam, of Pell City; two brothers, Tracy Young, of Piedmont and Phillip Young, of Centre; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be members of the Piedmont Rescue Squad. Honorary pallbearers will be members of his Sunday school class, special friend, Rudy Ontiveros and the Piedmont Rescue Squad.The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Zinn and his staff, Carmen and the staff of Amedisys Hospice, the WMUs for the food served over the years and the Piedmont Rescue Squad for many years of caring service.Mr. Baggett was preceded in death by a son, Steven Baggett; his mother, Margie Young and his father, Archie Baggett.
