Jacksonville Junior High girls win county championship
Not to be outdone by their upper classmen, the Jacksonville Lady Eagle Junior High team won their own county championship, beating Oxford 40-36 in the championship game.

The Lady Eagles ended their season 15-1 having only lost to the Gadsden City “B” team during the season.

First year Coach Marcus Albright said his team, ”Were a super talented group of girls. They played together really well and have played together for a long time. We have no problem with attitudes and they are good students.”

Coach Albright says that he tries to emulate the same coaching strategies that varsity coach Ryan Chambless uses with his team.

Coach Albright remarked that with this junior high team, “Coach Chambless is going to be all right for a long time to come.”

Members of the junior high team are: Jazzmyn McLendon, Brandi Canady, Asia Bradford, Kelsey Ervin, Ataliya Morgan, Tatiyana Thomas, Aniyah Robinson, Miajah Bullock, Sierra Stone, Malieah Patterson, Kalyn Laster, Destoni Edwards and Aniya Jefferson.
