Pleasant Valley gets two softball wins

The Pleasant Valley Lady Raiders picked up two wins in softball last week beating Jacksonville 7-6 and Piedmont 8-3.

At Jacksonville, Anna Craven was in the circle for Pleasant Valley pitching a complete game. Craven gave up only two earned runs while striking out five, walking one and allowed only seven hits.

At the plate Tori Shepard was 2-for-2 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored; Savannah Spaulding went 2-for-4, 1RBI, 1 run scored, Tiffany Williams, 1-for-4, 1 RBI, Kara Perry 1-for-4, (homerun) 1 RBI, 1 run scored, McKinley Parris 1-for-3 (homerun) 1 RBI 1 run scored; Jordan Moorer 1-for-2, 1 run scored and Bailey Turner was 1-for-3.

Craven also pitched a complete game in the 8-3 win at Piedmont.

Craven gave up four hits while striking out eight batters.

Perry was 2-for-4 with 1RBI, 1 run scored; Moorer 2-for-4, 1RBI, 1 run scored; Shepard 2-for-4, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored; Turner 1-for-4, 1 RBI, Craven 1-for-3 1 run scored; Spaulding 1-for-5, 1 RBI; and Christa Lynn was 1-for-3.

The Lady Raiders will be at home Tuesday for an area game against Woodland at 6 p.m.
