Mildred Glass Homesley Johnson
Jacksonville - Funeral services for Mildred Glass Homesley Johnson, 83, were held Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Stan Broom officiating. Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at RMC in Anniston.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Pat Dempsey and her husband, Gary and Terri Harris and her husband, Tony, all of Jacksonville; two sons, Tommy Homesley and his wife, Mary and Gerald Homesley and his wife, Shannon, all of Jacksonville; two sisters, Doris Boozer (Ladson), and Geraldine Andrews (Roert); sister-in-law, Betty Glass; brother, Charles R. Glass (Elaine); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Scott Boozer, Mike Boozer, David Glass, Paul Glass, Marty Glass, Donnie Glass and Dennis Andrews.

Mrs. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a member of Angel Grove Baptist Church, where she attended the Faith Sunday School Class. A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed quilting, gardening and participating in senior citizen activities. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John W. Homesley; her second husband, Edsel Johnson; her parents, Charlie and Bernice Glass and a brother, Harold Glass.
