On behalf of the Mt. Cheaha Harley Owners Group, I want to thank the Alabama State Troopers, the Oxford Police Department and the Talladega Police Department for the outstanding escort and intersection protection duties they provided Nov. 10 for the 12th annual “Feel the Thunder” motorcycle ride to the Alabama School for the Deaf.

Their continued support of this event is invaluable to the safety of not only the motorcyclists but the driving public as a whole. We had more than 100 motorcycles in the ride, and the various police agencies handled the busy intersections from the Harley-Davidson dealership in Oxford to the school campus in Talladega with exemplary skill and professionalism, as always.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice every day. God bless and keep you.
